I really like treating myself to fancy soaps in the shower, in fact if it comes to products that I can make really good use out of on a daily basis, I’d probably go for the mid-luxury option every now and then (my way of justifying its use!).
This time round I was on the look out for a “nice” soap. Something that would like a lasting scent (I love Molton Brown shower gels for that) or just something totally new, and that’s what I went for this time with L’Occitane. I haven’t bought anything from L’Occitance in probably a couple of years, in fact here’s a link to my last haul in London where I’d bought 3 of the hand creams. I walked around the store this time in Dubai and had a good whiff of a lot of the soap bars, shower oils and creams.
I decided to go for the L’Occitane Shea Butter Shower Cream. Shea Butter is one of the most popular ranges from the brand, there’s several products within the range. To me it was a toss up between Shea Butter and Honey which also smelt absolutely amazing. In the end I went with the trusted Shea Butter, also because I have the hand cream and know that I love the scent.
I’ve used the Shower Cream just a couple of times so far and absolutely love it. It’s a really thick, gel-like consistency that smoothes over the skin. It doesn’t really lather up, but does manage to hydrate the skin and make it plump, leaving me feeling really soft and smooth. I like to use the shower cream as my “last wash” round in the shower (every one has a routine no?). It has a really subtle, creamy, soft smell that is easy for anyone. It just smells clean and gentle. When I come out the shower, especially if it’s another shower in the evening, I love getting into my PJ’s and feeling squeaky clean.
So far I’m really enjoying using this product and happy with my purchase! Have you guys tried any other soaps, oils or shower creams from L’Occitance and what would you recommend next?0
