Contouring and highlighting has been around for a while, let’s face it. From what I can recall it may have been Kim Kardashian and her make up artists that started the trend? (Don’t quote me!). I bought Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze & Glow, the original, and fell in love with the whole trend myself. So much so, I ended up buying the newer release too, as well as a whole bunch of other highlighters and bronzing/contouring products which is why I’m excited today to be talking about Rimmel’s latest release with no other than Kate Moss.
The first sculpting and highlighting kit designed by Kate Moss has been designed using her expertise in make up gained from her many years of modelling experience, and, of course, her own killer cheekbones. The kit contains 3 shades all housed in to one easy, compatible and travel friendly casing (did I mention its, rose gold?!), a highlighter, shading powder and blush.
One of my instant reactions was ‘why is there only one kit?’ However, the colours are universal and have been designed to work with every face shape and skin tone for definition and structure. The highlighter is more golden in shade and provides a lovely candle-list finish, the shading powder is darker than other bronzers, e.g. the original Bronze & Glow, but a little goes a long way. If you have fair skin I’d recommend a gentle dab of the brush in to the palette for just enough colour. Now on to the blusher, I LOVE this colour. It’s a beautiful coral shade that’s perfect all year round, my favourite kind. What’s great about the palette in general is that all shades can be used individually too.
The Sculpting and Highlighting Kit by Kate Moss was just released in April ’16 and is priced at AED52 in Dubai & in the UK is £6.99. (It’s also on 3 for 2 in the UK if you hurry!)
