Mmmm Elemis. When I think of Elemis I instantly think of luxurious skincare. I love the PCMC as well as the rose and lavender capsule oils. When my own therapist recommended Elemis’ Balancing Lime Blossom Cleanser (and the toner along with it) I was happy to try out another Elemis product.
The Elemis Balancing Lime Blossom Cleanser is formulated to balance the skin’s PH and is therefore aimed at those with combination type skin. I typically have dry, dehydrated cheeks with an oilier T-zone and am also prone to the odd breakout which this cleanser targets. I prefer using lotion based cleansers for my morning skin care routine rather than gels which I often find a little too stripping so I liked that this comes in a light lotion format.
I bought the Lime Blossom Cleanser in a set along with the toner, here’s what the set looks like.
More on the toner soon 🙂
The packaging for the cleanser is sleek and velvety. I like that the bottle is completely transparent so I know how much product I’ve used and have left, such a basic but important factor. I hate getting to the end of a cleanser and realising it’s the end, especially if there’s no replacement *argh*. Anyway, I digress. The packaging also has a pump on the end which I LOVE. It means no more sticking your hands in pots and keeps everything hygienic.
To apply, I take 2-3 good pumps on the back of my palm and dab on my cheeks, chin, nose and forehead before using my fingertips to really massage in to the skin. I really love the light consistency of this product, it’s a dream to blend and smells so clean and fresh when massaging in to my skin. I like to massage this in to my skin for about 1-2 minutes, I then leave it on whilst I brush my teeth in the morning and then wash off completely with warm water. I think it’s important for skin to benefit from all the goodness in a luxurious cleanser, otherwise it’s just on the skin for a minute or so and then gone. This way it cleans and repairs.
I’ve been using this for about 3 weeks now as my morning cleanse and you can see that the product is starting to go down now. My skin has totally been loving this new find. I did have my usual monthly chin breakout (hormonal – that I 100% have each month without fail) but the rest of the time my skin has been really “well behaved”. No redness, no irritation and honestly I’ve really noticed a difference in my skin recently.
To follow up, I use my Elemis Lavender Toner before jumping in to the rest of my skincare routine. More info on the toner and routine to follow.
I always like to try out new products but don’t think I’ll be able to part with this cleanser and toner routine for a good while now! Have you tried this cleanser and what are your favourite finds from Elemis? Any recommendations?0
