Molton Brown Haulin’

Many of you will know about my love for luxury shower products, it’s something I like to treat myself to and why not!

Molton Brown is a globally renowned, luxury brand that creates a gorgeous variety of shower gels as well as body lotions, scrubs, bath salts, candles, and loads more, there’s something for everyone!

It was probably  only a year ago that I discovered Suma Ginseng after having used it at a hotel I was staying in on holiday and fell instantly in love. I came back to London and bought it in a large size shower gel. The Suma Ginseng fragrance is deep, musky and fresh at the same time. I use it as my last body cleanse in the shower and the scent is so long lasting. I only realised a few months after purchasing that Suma Ginseng is actually a fragrance for men! LOL. Nevertheless, that doesn’t surprise me as I do like masculine, musky smells. Although even now, I wouldn’t smell it and think it was instantly “manly”, I still love and use it.

I recently went back to Molton Brown (they have a store in Dubai Mall) and picked up a gift set for the hubs and I in the Gold Oudh Accord & Gold edition. I thought this was only a Dubai limited edition (as you know we love Oudh fragrances in Dubai!) but I spotted this in the Molton Brown store on Regent Street a few weeks ago too, so it is available in the UK also.

The Oudh Accord & Gold scent is so super luxurious. It has a really unique take on oud and again, I would say it leans more towards the masculine side and isn’t the rosy/vanilla based oud that you’d expect from feminine oud fragrances. The gift set comes in an embossed, thick white box holding the shower gel and the nourishing lotion. Although this was a treat for us at home, it would be perfect as a gift for somebody too.

Upon purchasing, the kind cashier also chucked in a couple of freebies. Black Peppercorn, Gingerlilly (which I’ve heard is really popular) and Eucalyptus.  I really like the smell of Gingerlilly, the Black Peppercorn one surprisingly is really lovely too which I was initially a bit sceptical on until I used it! It’s funny how fragrances may not appeal to you at first until you wear them on the skin or shower in them. There is such a great range available, which is your favourite?
