Those of you who follow me on Twitter or have read my previous Lush posts (here) know that I’ve been just loving Lush recently! I was desperate to check out some of there new editions for Christmas and also try a few of their shower bombs and goodies as these were something I’d never tried before & I’ve lo9ved hearing other peoples reviews.
I’m so excited to try these out! I bought them in London last night and had to write a blog straight away. Here’s what I bought:
The first thing I picked up is a re-purchase of “Big”. It’s a shampoo I’d bought for my mum a few months ago and she loved it so much she was using it so sparingly!! (which is silly as Lush’s products are so fresh they’re best used straight away). She had run out a while ago so this ones for her. Big is one of Lush’s most popular shampoos, the smell is SO fresh and clean, I’ve used it myself and the smell lasts all day which is great as this is a volumising shampoo and when your hair is nice and “big” its nice to smell the fresh fragrance when your hair is swishing around (you know what I mean!). The texture is really coarse and quite lumpy, its made from sea salt so this is expected, however you dont need much at all as it’s crammed full of rich ingredients so a little also goes a long way. Lush also do a solid conditioner of Big which is next on the list.
The next product I bought is a newbie Lush’s “Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner”. I’d heard a lot about this and really wanted something moisturising I could use in the shower this winter (it is absolutely freezing in London and my face and body is really feeling it). Its a bit strange to think of a body conditioner, apparently it’s meant to be used just like a hair conditioner after you’ve had a shower, keep it on wet skin and then dry off as usual. I think I will use this product first before the others to give it a go in the cold.
Then comes the fun stuff! The bath melts! Here’s what I bought:
This one is “Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment”
This smells AMAZING! if you like the taste and the smell of marshmallows like me you will adore this. I can just imagine this smelling the whole room of marshmallows! Some may find this a bit sickly but it reminds me of toasting marshmallows on a bonfire and brings back good memories 🙂 It’s also great for dry skin which is what my skin feels like now this winter.
Here’s the second one, this one’s Lush’s “Amandopondo”. This felt silky to touch when I picked it up, really moisturising. It smells quite soothing and contains Rose & Lemon fragrances, I think this will be quite nice after a really long day when you need something comforting.
The next purchase was “A French Kiss”. I saw the Lavender sticking out and knew I’d like this. If you girls love the smell of lavender like me you’ll really like this. It is quite a strong lavender smell which I quite like (I have so many Lavender candles that smell like this!) again one to save for after a long, stressful day. The essential oils will keep you calm and collected, perfect before bed time in a bubbly bath. MMmm think this one is my favourite.
And finally “Rose Jam”. The lady at Lush said this goes perfectly with the Ro’s Argan Conditioner, which makes sense as they’re both Rose scented. Mt other half also loves the smell of Rose I know he’ll love sniffing this one! It smells just like the conditioner, really floral (rosey) and sweet – i think this is more of a morning scent to keep you smelling nice through out the day. I’ve read that it also includes coconut and shea butter as I’m looking for moisturising properties.
That’s it for my haul! I hope you guys enjoyed reading. I did want to buy some of the more Christmassy stuff but the Lush I went to this time was quite small so I will still keep an eye out for them. I really want to try Golden Wonder – another bath product, a bath bomb which is supposed to burst into an explosion of Christmassy colours and fun stars! How cool is that? I really think Im going to enjoy these products I’m so excited to try them out. What are you favourite Lush products? I’m turning in to bit of an addict 🙂0
