Guerlain Météorites Baby Glow Foundation Review

By Saturday, July 2, 2016 0 , 0

I picked up Guerlain’s Météorites Baby Glow a few months ago (as part of a major Guerlain haul!) and have been using it pretty much 2-3 times a week since, it’s a fantastic product for women that like light, easy to apply, dewy make up. I love it.

Baby Glow is described as a “light-revealing” foundation. I would tend to agree with that. It doesn’t make my skin super glowy, but then I’m not always going for an all out glow, I have highlighters that can do that. Saying that though, I find it less glowy than MAC’s Face & Body, but more glowy than Estee Lauder’s Double Wear BB Cream.

I do find that it gives me a great even finish, and that’s despite hardly using much of the product for a full face application. There’s no thickness or cakey looking finish (I HATE that), instead you’re left with more of a natural look, exactly the sort of foundations I love, something that doesn’t LOOK like I’m wearing a load of foundation but at the same time covers any redness, is easy to apply and lasts.

Being Guerlain and météorites, Baby Glow contains ‘rainbow’ pearl pigments. A mix of colours to help correct and revive the complexion. I know so many people rave about météorites by Guerlain so I’m happy this is included, I do certainly have a much better complexion with this on, there is something special about it. Whilst we’re talking meteorites, Baby Glow also has the iconic violet-like fragrance associated with all météorites products. I actually don’t mind this as much as I thought I would on the face, it only lasts a few seconds to be honest and is a pleasant scent.

To apply, I take 2-3 small pumps and dot around my face. Most of the time I use my fingers to apply the foundation and I find it applies amazingly well, it spreads really easily on the skin and feels soft too, all in all, a dream to use. I have other foundations and BB creams that have turned out to be really difficult to apply. Guerlain’s Baby Glow comes in a 1oz tube and retails for around £37 / AED200 / $54. It’s not cheap but I’d still repurchase it and recommend it to those of you looking for a lightweight, complexion boosting foundation.
