Admittedly, this is my most expensive lip balm. I would have never otherwise paid AED 100 / £18 / $27 for a lip balm (one that’s 1.8g) but there’s just something about the new Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector range that hooked me in well and good.
The Instant Light balm is brand new for Spring 2015. There are 6 colours in the range, all usefully labelled 01 – 06 and by colour, so pink is pink, coral is coral, orange is orange, you get my drift. I’m usually a nude or pink girl but I’ve been really getting back in to the whole orange vibe (I know its sooo 2013). Of course the Instant Light Lip Balms are balms at the end of the day with a sheer colour pay off, not an opaque lipstick so don’t expect big bold coloured lips.
The Lip Balm Perfectors promise smooth, gloss shine effects and I have to agree. The formula contains moisturising shea, vitamin E and is packed with plant ingredients that make it super comfortable to wear, just like a balm should be.
Apart from being a luxury lip balm, I fell in love with the packaging too. The size of the product, sleek twist applicator and easiness of throwing in the handbag is a winner. I’m really drawn to the orange colour and I adore the scent which is a sweet, light vanilla fragrance. It’s really gentle and isn’t overpowering at all.
Do you have any of the Instant Light Lip Perfectors? What do you think?
